A Guide to Painting Metal Surfaces

Necessary tools:
- 10 mm paint roller with a handle
- Slim mixed-bristle paintbrush
- Wide mixed-bristle paintbrush
- Paint tray
- 80-120 grit sandpaper
- Sandpaper holder
- Plastic drop cloth
- Masking tape
- Knife
- Wire brush
- Cloth
- Paint stirrer
  • Preparing the surfaces

    Use a wire brush to clean off any surface corrosion and to roughen the surface. Next, thoroughly remove any dust, and, if required, degrease the surface using Jedynka's thinner for phthalic and alkyd-based products

  • Previously painted surfaces

    Before you begin painting any surfaces that have previously been painted, check the adhesion of the old coating. Any loose elements need to be scraped off and any corroded areas must be cleaned with a wire brush. Use sandpaper to even out and roughen the cleaned surface. Next, thoroughly remove any dust and, if required, clean the surface with a degreaser.

  • Preparing the product

    Prime the surface using Jedynka Antykorozyjna primer. Mix the product thoroughly right before painting.

  • Priming the surface

    Paint the prepared surface with a primer using a paintbrush.

  • Prepare the product

    Paint the surface using Jedynka do Drewna i Metalu enamel paint. Mix the product thoroughly right before painting.

  • Painting

    After 24 hours from applying Jedynka Antykorozyjna primer, use a paintbrush to apply the first layer of Jedynka do Drewna i Metalu enamel paint. Repeat the operation after at least 24 hours.

  • Cleaning your tools

    After painting is complete, clean your tools thoroughly using Jedynka's thinner for phthalic and alkyd-based products.
